Lestat the interviewer
This community could use some fresh blood. Pun intended.

I always imagine how Lestat might have interviewed the other vamps. Did they give in willingly? Did he have to bribe them? What bargains were made if any, and what sensitive information had to be excluded? Did he have them write down a memoir and hand it to him for editing? Or did he sit down and have them regurgitate their thoughts in a stream of consciousness format, mentally bookmark what he found noteworthy and fashion it into a novel?

I'm re-reading parts of Pandora here and there, and I noted that she describes how David came forward to interview her. The thoughts going through his head and hers. Too bad Mater hadn't included this in any of the main VC novels (at least not that I recall...)

I know, consider me chastised.;P But real life has been a bitch lately, what with festivities, sickness, computer viruses and crazy whirlwinds of activities-- I don't know if you noticed, but both my journal and nevermore_1106's have been pretty deserted too.-.-

I'm not sure about the giving up willingly part... Lestat is the most powerful amongst them after the Akasha debacle, so I doubt he even had to ask for permission. Daniel, for example, wouldn't be able to close his mind to him, so reading his story and thoughts would have been easy.

We all know Khayman is not, err, "all there", and anyway he's just so amiable, I think he might well have forwarded the necessary information. As for Marius... well, he does love to hear himself speak, doesn't he?:P

Haven't read Pandora myself, so I wouldn't know, but what are your thoughts on the matter?:)

No problem.:)

Well yes, but I did address the point of Marius further on in my comment...
